On October 12th, the inaugural meeting of the “National Education-Industry Integration Community for Big Data Industry” was held in Qingzhen, Guiyang. The meeting was initiated jointly by Guizhou University, Yunshang Guizhou Big Data Industry Development Co. Ltd., and Guizhou Institute of Light Industry. Zou Lianke, Party Group Secretary and Director of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Education, Wang Ning, Director of the School Development Department of Vocational and Adult Education Division of the Ministry of Education, Hao Zhiqiang, Director of the China Electronic Information Application Education Center,and Wu Pan, Vice President of Guizhou University took part in the meeting. The attendees also included Liang Yiping, Second-Level Inspector of the Big Data Development Administration of Guizhou Province, Liu Zhijie, Deputy General Manager of Yunshang Guizhou Big Data (Group) Co.Ltd., Wu Binru, President of Guizhou Institute of Light Industry, and around 300 people from relevant enterprises, industry associations, colleges and universities, and research institutes across the country.
The community aims to focus on industrial development and talent cultivation, promote alignment between talent supply and demand, collaborative education between universities and enterprises, university-enterprise research collaboration, competition skills training, industry certification assessment, etc. in the big data industry. It is dedicated to promoting industry development and talent capability research, internship and employment services, collaborative innovation and research achievement commercialization, training of dual-qualified teachers, continuing education in the big data industry, resource development and connotation construction, university-enterprise cooperation, and international education exchanges. The community organizes the formulation of talent cultivation standards and the development of teaching resources, facilitates the implementation of industrial collaboration, provides support for talents to continue education and lifelong learning in the big data industry. By physical operations, it provides talent with support for the development of the big data industry to increase the rate of research achievement commercialization.
Wu Pan stated that Guizhou University has actively responded to the big data strategy of Guizhou Provincesince 2014. GZU established the College of Big Data and Information Engineering, Guizhou Big Data Academy and one of its laboratory was approved as State Key Laboratory of Public Big Data Jointly Established by the Ministry of Education and Guizhou Province. As a member of the community, Guizhou University will continue to leverage its advantages in research and talent, focusing on scientific research, talent cultivation,research achievement commercialization, and local services. It will support the cultivation of high-quality technical professionals through scientific research, forming an education-industry integration regional layout that is in line with market demand and matches the industrial structure.
According to the meeting vote, Guizhou University has been elected as the rotating chairman unit of the National Education-Industry Integration Community for Big Data Industry.
