On November 4, Guizhou University held the kick-off meeting for the Ministry of Education's undergraduate education and teaching audit in Xianzheng Building on the West Campus. Key attendees included Zhang Weiguo, head of the expert group and Secretary of the Party Committee at Southwest University; Liang Henggui, Director of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Education's Higher Education Department; and Guizhou University leadership, including President Song Bao’an, CPC Committee Deputy Secretary Zhang Jie, and several vice presidents. Vice president Zhang Dalin hosted the meeting.

President Song welcomed the expert team, emphasizing the university’s commitment to high-quality undergraduate education through reforms, innovation, and the integration of moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic education. He highlighted the university’s success in fostering student innovation and entrepreneurship, as reflected in multiple recent national awards won by GZU faculty and students, and expressed hope for expert feedback to drive further progress in the university's development.

Liang Henggui commended Guizhou University’s role as a leader in higher education in the province, lauding its contributions to education reform, talent cultivation, and regional economic development. He urged the university to address exisiting weaknesses and continue bettering the quality of its undergraduate education.
Zhang Weiguo outlined the audit process, which will involve surveys, class observations, and interviews, emphasizing fairness and collaboration to support the university’s progress in quality education and innovation.
