On September 22nd, Guizhou University was privileged to welcome esteemed alumnus Mr. Ji Yueqin and his delegation. Mr. Ji, an English major from the class of 1978, was warmly received by Li Jianjun, Secretary of the University Party Committee, and Linghu Caitao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee.
During the visit, Li Jianjun briefed Mr. Ji and his delegation on the strides GZU has made in academic pursuits, faculty accomplishments, and alumni outreach. He outlined plans to establish the Guizhou University North American Alumni Association, designed to fortify the connection between the university and its wide-ranging North American alumni network.
Mr. Ji Yueqin has garnered remarkable success since his time at Guizhou University. His roles have included being an overseas member of the 10th Committee of the Chinese Overseas Exchange Association, president of the American G2 Business Club, co-founder of the Louisiana Commercial Bank, and an external board member of Southern University in the US. Reflecting fondly on his time at GZU, Mr. Ji expressed his enthusiasm to actively facilitate the founding of the North American Alumni Association to enhance the global stature of his alma mater.
Following the meeting, Mr. Ji Yueqin and his delegation toured the University History Museum and the College of Foreign Languages, where they engaged in interactions with faculty and students from the College.
