On June 3rd, the 2024 National Cheerleading Championships officially kicked off in Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province. The team representing Guizhou University emerged victorious in the Street Dance Cheerleading category and secured a bronze medal in the Jazz Cheerleading category at the national competition.
The University Sports Committee had thoroughly prepared for the national championship by selecting the best coaches and athletes from the College of Physical Education and providing them with rigorous training. During the competition, the Guizhou University cheerleading athletes impressed the judging panel and other competitors with their exceptional technical skills, earning widespread recognition.
The event was hosted by the Gymnastics Management Centre of the General Administration of Sport of China, attracting a total of 4,755 athletes, coaches, and team leaders from 156 colleges and universities across 29 provincial-level administrative regions in the country. Prominent institutions such as Shanghai University of Sport, Beijing Normal University, and Xiamen University also participated in the championships.
