The People's Government of Guizhou Province recently issued the "Decision on the 2023 Guizhou Provincial Science and Technology Awards," announcing the winners in categories such as the Natural Science Award, Technology Invention Award, Scientific and Technological Progress Award, and Science and Technology Cooperation Award.
Guizhou University won a total of 36 awards. The project "Design, Synthesis, and Property Regulation of Novel Wave-Absorbing Materials" received the First Prize in the Natural Science Award. Three projects, including "Research on the Mechanism of Starch Esterification Modification," received Second Prizes, while five projects, such as "Physiological and Molecular Mechanisms of Drought Impact on the Growth and Quality of Ornamental Herbaceous Crops," won Third Prizes in the same category.
In the Technology Invention Award, the project "Microbial-Assisted Cementitious Materials for Mine Waste and Supporting Applications" received a Third Prize. The project "Key Technologies and Applications for Secure Big Data Flow" earned a First Prize in the Scientific and Technological Progress Award, while nine projects, including "Lean Construction Technology and Engineering Applications for Large Complex Venues," received Second Prizes, and 14 projects, such as "Breeding and Application of Multiple High-Quality, Disease-Resistant Corn Varieties in Southwest Mountain Areas," won Third Prizes in this category.
