Recently, three projects from GZU (Guizhou University) received recognition in the competition for exemplary mental health education cases in Guizhou Province.
The case “‘Four Early’ Interventions: A New Blueprint for College Student Mental Health Education at Guizhou University” designed by GZU faculty Shuai Yixin and Zhao Xiaoqing won first prize in the category of mental health education mechanisms.
“‘Ark of the Heart’ Studio: One-Stop Psychological Education at Guizhou University” by Yang Manyun received second prize in the category of distinctive practices.
“Counseling for Depression in Female College Students with Left-Behind Backgrounds” by Song Chao earned third prize in the category of outstanding psychological counseling and crisis intervention.
At the case-sharing section of the competition, Zhao Xiaoqing presented the award-winning project, which demonstrated the university’s achievements in mental health education.
The competition highlighted best practices, significant results, and strategies for improving mental health education in colleges and universities across the Province.
Moving forward, Guizhou University’s Psychological Health Education and Counseling Center will expand its initiatives to foster a vibrant and healthy campus environment.
