On October 28, the opening ceremony of the Guangdong-Guizhou Collaborative Medical Talent “Team-Based” Assistance Training Program and Donation Ceremony was held at Guizhou University. The event was attended by Liu Zhengyue, Deputy Secretary and Deputy Leader of the Guangdong-Guizhou Collaborative Task Force and Party Leadership Group Member of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; An Shihai, Deputy Director of the Guizhou Provincial Health Commission; Yan Jun, Director of the Second Division of the Organization Department of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee; Shi Qiaorong, expert representative and Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine; Chen Xiangsheng, Vice President of Guizhou University. The ceremony was chaired by Liu Zhengyue.
Chen Xiangsheng presented a comprehensive summary of Guizhou University’s history, achievements, and contributions to the medical and healthcare sectors. He emphasized that the training program aims to deepen east-west collaboration and enhance the synergy of team-based assistance between Guangdong and Guizhou in developing medical talent. He called on relevant departments to collaborate closely and uphold a strong sense of responsibility to ensure the program’s successful and high-quality implementation.
Yan Jun highlighted the notable progress achieved in team-based medical assistance efforts in recent years, citing advancements in provincial and municipal mechanisms, improved effectiveness of assistance, robust talent development, and greater social benefits. He expressed his hope that this training program would further enhance Guizhou’s reputation as a model of collaborative medical assistance.
An Shihai emphasized the achievements of the team-based medical assistance initiative and urged participants to approach the training with dedication, transforming their learning into a driving force to advance the assistance program to new depths.
Liu Zhengyue outlined the key objectives of the training, emphasizing the importance of maintaining strict discipline, engaging in diligent learning, and fostering proactive thinking. He encouraged participants to actively share experiences, collaborate effectively, and contribute to the advancement of medical assistance initiatives in Guizhou.
During the donation ceremony, Guangzhou Yaozhi Electronics Technology Company donated 42 AED training devices to the Guizhou Population Health Foundation, which then distributed the devices to representatives of the recipient organizations.
